According to the tweet, musical artist Little Simz appears on-screen in Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage, performing their song “Venom” from their third studio album GREY Area.
“Venom – Remix”
Little Simz was also excited about their cameo in the movie, tweeting a picture of their performance in Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Little Simz previous work includes “Garage Palace,” a track from the 2017 Gorillaz album Humanz. They also toured with the animated band for their Humanz tour and appeared in the visualizer for the song, and covered “Feel Good Inc.” for triple j’s Like A Version.
The Venom 2 song is a remix of “Venom,” the song released on Little Simz third studio album.
Venom 2: The Soundtrack
In addition to Little Simz, Eminem returned for the Venom sequel to contribute more original music, appearing on the track “Last One Standing” by Skylar Grey and also featuring Polo G and Mozzy.
While the majority of the Venom 2 soundtrack is made-up of the orchestral score by Marco Beltrami, these hip-hop tracks are grafted onto the score like a symbiote onto a human host!
And this is just the latest Marvel movie to feature some exciting music.
Marvelous Musical Cameos
Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, for example, included a full album from 88 Rising, including irresistible songs like “Lazy Susan” and “In the Dark” by Swae Lee (featuring Jhené Aiko).
And of course, the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, written and directed by James Gunn, always spotlight an incredibly awesome soundtrack!
Plus, in the upcoming She-Hulk series on Disney+, Megan Thee Stallion is rumored to appear. Talk about your hot (and powerful) girl streaming series, Marvel Blog True Believers!
