Marvel’s Midnight Suns Delayed
In a Tweet sent from the official Marvel’s Midnight Suns Twitter account on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021, it was revealed that Firaxis Games, the developer behind Marvel’s Midnight Suns, had made the difficult decision to delay the game from March 2022 until later in the year, sometime during the second half of 2022.
Details on the Midnight Suns Delay
According to the note included with the Tweet, which is from the game’s Creative Director, Jake Solomon, and the Senior Franchise Producer, Garth DeAngelis, the additional months will be used to further develop the story, cinematics, and to add an extra layer of polish to the proceedings.

While it’s clear that this decision was not made lightly, here at Marvel Blog, we want to take a moment to applaud how they dealt with their hard choice. It is no secret that the game designers and programmers who are lower on the totem pole are the ones who pay when games are rushed out the door!
Now, as the most devoted of Marvel Blog True Believers will already be aware, this is one of my most highly anticipated video games, and my most highly anticipated Marvel video game, period. While I have been looking forward to March 2022, I can wait until later in the year, and will just be more excited for this outstanding-sounding game when it arrives.
Luke has battled neuroblastoma since he was 14. 9 years later he’s facing the devastating news that his disease can't be cured. He had a special wish to play the latest @Marvel game #MidnightSuns, leading to an incredible story of kindness and generosity💛 https://t.co/FJqD4wPSGw pic.twitter.com/hDU4VTeCVm

However, we do want to highlight this heartwarming story. While I can wait until late 2022 for this game, there are others who cannot, like Luke, who has battled neuroblastoma since he was fourteen years old. While Luke has fought hard against the disease for years, he recently learned that it will not be able to be cured. As a huge fan of the Marvel universe, Luke wanted nothing more than to get a chance to play Midnight Suns… and the team at 2K, Firaxis, and Marvel worked with the Solving Kids’ Cancer organization in the UK to give Luke the chance to experience the game in advance. Now that’s heroic, Marvel Blog True Believers!
Arriving in the Second Half of 2022
We may have to wait a little longer for Midnight Suns, Marvel Blog True Believers, but the second half of 2022 is looking bright!
