Pop Tweet Quiz for Shang-Chi’s Meng’er Zhang
In a video posted to Twitter on Tuesday, November 24th, 2021, the official Marvel Twitter account released a promotional video for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, available to stream right now on Disney+ (even in IMAX). The video challenges Shang-Chi’s Meng’er Zhang to determine whether a given Tweet was sent by either Simu Liu (Shang-Chi) or Awkwafina (Katy). Can she rise to the occasion?

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Tweets
For some of the Tweets for which Zhang must identify the author, there isn’t much of a challenge. For example, it’s pretty obvious that “You can’t make a U-turn with one finger” was Tweeted by Awkwafina (we all saw her drive that bus, after all).

But some of the other ones are a bit more challenging! For example, “Why do I always think of the best pranks on April 2nd” sounds like it could be another Awkwafina Tweet, but it was actually sent by Liu.

New Promo Strategies
This is only the most recent promotional video for Shang-Chi that featured the stars of the movie playing silly games on camera. Another example was released back in September 2021, and featured Awkwafina, Liu, and Zhang facing rapid-fire questions.
Similar videos were released for Black Widow, including one that allowed David Harbour to violate the international treaty against bad puns.

These short, intimate videos give the stars a chance to promote the movie in a safe, socially-distanced way… and it’s tons of fun to see Zhang guess the Tweet author, or listen to Harbour’s horrible jokes!
