Fantastic Four: Full Circle OGN From New “MarvelArts” Imprint
In an article posted to comicbook.com, it was revealed that Marvelous creator Alex Ross will be writing and illustrating Fantastic Four: Full Circle, for MarvelArts, a new imprint of Abrams ComicArts. The book will be lettered by Ariana Maher.
If you’re one of the more devoted Marvel Blog True Believers, you’ll already recognize Ross’s name, as he regularly illustrates covers for top-tier Marvel Comics. However, this will be his first time writing and illustrating a graphic novel, and it will be all about Marvel’s first superhero family!
MarvelArts Arrives
MarvelArts is just the most recent imprint from Abrams ComicArts, which also includes imprints like Surely Books, helmed by Mariko Tamaki and featuring graphic novels from queer voices, and Megascope, helmed by John Jennings.
In fact, Abrams has even published Marvel books before, like Fantastic Four No 1: Panel by Panel, which features an in-depth look at the first issue of Fantastic Four in full-length book form.
However, this will be the first Marvel graphic novel from Abrams, and the arrival of a whole new imprint from the publisher – MarvelArts – suggests that it won’t be our last.
Abrams is hardly the first publisher to release an original graphic novel featuring Marvel characters lately, either. You may remember the Marvel Blog review of Spider-Ham: Great Power, No Responsibility, a OGN you can pick up at your local bookstore or comic shop right now.
Graphix has no shortage of Marvelous graphic novels for you to enjoy as you wait for the release of Fantastic Four: Full Circle, by the by: there’s also Ms. Marvel: Stretched Thin by Nadia Shammas, Nabi H. Ali, Geoffo, and Joe Caramagna.
And in summer 2022, we’ll be getting another graphic novel from Scholastic Graphix: Captain America: Ghost Army!
