Andy Serkis (of All People) Has Revealed that Iman Vellani Will Return For ‘Avengers: Doosday’
While we know that Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will assemble for the events of Avengers: Doomsday, the future of another iconic Marvel team is less clear.
I am, of course, talking about the Young Avengers.
The last time we got an update on Marvel’s teenage superhero team, Kamala Khan was inviting Kate Bishop to join her squad in the The Marvels post-credit scene. During that conversation, she also mentioned Cassie Lang as a potential recruit.

Since then, Marvel has continued to introduce other possible Young Avengers, including Riri Williams, also known as Ironheart, and Billy Maximoff, also known as Wiccan.

That speculation grew when Kathryn Newton appeared to confirm that she will return as Cassie Lang in the film.
Now, it looks like another Young Avenger may be part of the story.
Andy Serkis’s Big Reveal
During a recent interview with CinemaHub while promoting Animal Farm, Andy Serkis seemingly revealed that Iman Vellani will reprise her role as Ms. Marvel in Avengers: Doomsday.

During the exchange, Vellani told Serkis that she was excited to see him return as Gollum in The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum.
“I’m excited to see you in Doomsday!” Serkis replied.

While Vellani quickly brushed off the comment, it did not initially seem like Serkis was joking.
While Serkis is not typically viewed as a source of Marvel casting news, the comment has added fuel to ongoing speculation.

The idea that Ms. Marvel will return in Avengers: Doomsday also aligns with what we have heard about Kathryn Newton’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Perhaps, then, the Young Avengers will finally assemble.
