‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Rotten Tomatoes Score Already Has It in Rare Company
The movie event of the year will finally hit theaters in just two days, and it seems to already be one of the MCU’s clearest triumphs as the Spider-Man: No Way Home Rotten Tomatoes score already has it in rare Marvel company.
The third film in the MCU’s Spider-Man trilogy is shaping up to be a Peter Parker story like no other as our hero faces off against Spider-Man villains from the multiverse.
With some of the Spider-Man films’ classic villains returning to this MCU adventure, the story will undoubtedly be adored by longtime fans of the character and should provide plenty of nostalgia to go with a story that is prepared to pack a punch.
With the early reactions to the film being overwhelmingly positive, it appears as though those original perceptions have fallen in line with what the entire critic community has felt about Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Currently, the film is dominating the Rotten Tomatoes rating scale with a 95% Fresh rating on their Tomatometer — and is Certified Fresh.
Black Panther is the gold standard Marvel film as far as reviews go, sporting a 96% rating, which means that Spider-Man: No Way Home is the only other MCU title that currently exceeds the 95% rating on the website.
The rating puts the film ahead of dominant MCU titles such as Avengers: Endgame (94%), Iron Man (94%), Thor: Ragnarok (93%), and previous Spider-Man title Spider-Man: Homecoming (92%).
Spider-Man: No Way Home is rumored to be a celebration of three generations of on-screen iterations of Peter Parker, with the incredible hype and expectation surrounding the movie, it is easy to believe that the film is destined to disappoint some fans.
Thus far, however, the Spider-Man: No Way Home Rotten Tomatoes score seems to display the reality that Jon Watts, Tom Holland, and the people at Marvel have crafted a beautiful Peter Parker story that celebrates just who that character is and what he has been to us as fans.
