Spider-Man’s Top 5 Movie Moments
Perhaps the most iconic comic book creation of all time, and some of the most iconic adaptations in the history of the genre, these are Spider-Man’s Top 5 Movie Moments.
With the incredible Spider-Man: No Way Home reaching theaters and blowing by nearly every expectation of fans, it has placed itself among some of the greatest Spider-Man films of all time.
With the film just releasing, however, we still don’t know how history will admire the achievement; with so many incredible Spider-Man adaptations over the characters 20 years on the big screen, we look back at some of our quintessential Peter Parker big screen memories.
And with that, these are Spider-Man’s Top 5 Movie Moments.
5 ) MCU Debut in Captain America: Civil War
One of the most iconic images of Spider-Man in the character’s long, illustrious film history is the now legendary image of the character holding Captain America’s shield during his MCU debut in Steve Rogers Third MCU outing.
There was so much leading up to this moment that has helped develop the legendary status it now holds; chief amount them being the fact that many fans had never imagined that Sony and Marvel would actually orchestrate the long awaited debut of Peter Parker in the adored Marvel Universe.
4 ) The Train Scene in Spider-Man 2
Anyone born in the early to mid 90s most likely grew up watching Sam Raimi’s beloved Spider-Man films, with the iconic performance of Tobey Maguire and the incredible villains, there is perhaps no scene more engrained in the minds of these people that the train scene.
With Peter Parker desperately trying to save a runaway train from the nefarious actions of Doc Oc, the scene presented one of the greatest aspects of the Spider-Man character: his adoration by the community that he keeps safe. Cleary shown during this memorable scene of New Yorkers protecting their own.
3 ) Green Goblin’s Death in Spider-Man
That train scene is perhaps the most iconic imagery from those Sam Raimi film, and villains such as Doc Oc and Sandman presented sympathetic entries into the characters rogues gallery. However, there is perhaps no villain in the history of comic book adaptations as iconic and memorable as the Green Goblin.
So brilliantly expanding the mythos of the character to the unfortunate reality that not every story can have a happy ending, Peter was forced to watch his best friend’s father die – nearly avoiding death himself – in order to protect the world from villainy, proving to viewers the weight and burden of heroism.
2 ) Gwen Stacey’s Death in The Amazing Spider-Man 2
Now, I know what your gonna say, but the quality of these movies shouldn’t take away from what is clearly one of the great Spider-Man movie moments – a moment that is impossible to watch without shedding a tear.
Andrew Garfield is one of the best actors to ever take on the role. It’s his performance in the scene, the brutality of the moment, and the homage to Amazing Spider-Man #121 and #122, that make it among the most memorable moment in Spider-Man movie history.

Maybe the most overlooked Spider-man moment in movie history has to be the iconic moment in Spider-Man: Homecoming, which sees Peter Parker crushed under an entire building and forced to lift his way out.
Pulled from Amazing Spider-Man #33 – one of the characters iconic issues by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko – it is Tom Holland’s performance that makes it the characters greatest moment: crying, beaten, and calling out for anyone to save him, unlike other iterations, the scene shows us the exact moment that Spider-Man is born.
