‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Post-Credit Scene Could Mean a Major Return for ‘Venom 3’
The biggest movie of the year by far had major implications for the greater of the MCU, with an after-credit sequence that could mean a lot for the future of Sony’s Spider-Verse as the Spider-Man: No Way Home post-credit scene could mean a major return for Venom 3.
We’re obviously talking about specifics of Spider-Man: No Way Home, so this is your SPOILER WARNING. If you haven’t seen the film, TURN BACK NOW.
Spider-Man: No Way Home was a record-breaking event for Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, and gave fans what is perhaps the best Spider-Man film we have ever seen.
The film beautifully honored three generations of Peter Parker on screen, and wonderfully tied their stories into the multiversal adventure that took place within the confines of the MCU.
In addition to the many villains from Sony’s previous Spider-Man films, Spider-Man: No Way Home also reintroduced the two previous incarnations of the Web-Slinging superhero.
With the multiverse collapsing within the film due to Peter Parker’s wish to have his secret identity restored from the world, there is a post-credit scene that interesting sets up the future of both Sonys Spiderverse and the MCU.
Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock is present in the scene discussing what has taken place in the MCU, and the many things that are incredibly foreign to the host of the symbiote antihero Venom.
He finds out about Thanos, Iron Man, and most importantly, the individual that seems to be the object of intrigue for the symbiote, Spider-Man.
At the end of the post-credit scene, Eddie Brock comes to the conclusion that it may be best for him to travel to New York, and meet the Spider-Man of his own universe.
That leads to a greater question, however; who is the Spider-Man of Tom Hardy’s Sony Spider-Verse?
The answer is likely why the Spider-Man: No Way home post-credit scene could mean a major return for Venom 3.
Because the Spider-Man of the Sony Universe is likely Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker.
With Garfield’s take as Peter Parker gaining a lot more love and adoration following his appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it appears as though fans are hungry to see the tremendous actor reprise the role in his very own film.
If Eddie Brock does confront this version of Peter Parker in his own Universe then Venom 3 could feature an incredible collision of Tom Hardy and Andrew Garfield.
The possibilities from here are endless, and with a little piece of the Symbiote left behind in the MCU, it is only a matter of time until Venom makes his presence known opposite Tom Hardy’s Peter Parker.
The varied directions both studios can take is just another brilliant side effect of the incredible story told by Spider-Man: No Way Home, and we cannot wait to see where it all leads.
