Marvel Tweets Aja & Hollingsworth Inspired Hawkeye End Credits
In a Tweet sent on Tuesday, December 28th, 2021, the official Twitter account for Marvel Entertainment shared images from the end credits for the first season of Hawkeye, the most recent Marvel Cinematic Universe series to be released for streaming on Disney+. These images, which draw inspiration from the art of David Aja and colorist Matt Hollingsworth on the 2012 Marvel Comics run of Hawkeye, which heavily inspired the Disney+ MCU series.
Hawkeye End Credits
The art in the Hawkeye end credits, like the art in the Hawkeye promotional material, is heavily reminicent of the art of Aja on the covers of the 2012 series.
Furthermore, there are some images that draw to mind specific panels from the interior, which often featured art by Aja and colors by Hollingsworth.
If you want to better support creators like Aja and Hollingsworth, consider picking up their creator-owned work (or asking for it at your local public library – this helps writers just about as much as directly buying their books, Marvel Blog True Believers). Aja recently worked on The Seeds with Ann Nocenti, another writer who will be familiar to the most devoted Marvel Comics readers.
And Hollingsworth worked on Wytches with Scott Snyder, Jock, and Clem Robin.
The Hawkeye end credits also draw inspiration from the first season of Daredevil from Marvel Television on Netflix, which was released for streaming in 2015. The image that appeared at the end of the penultimate episode of the season features the Kingpin of Crime, Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) in front of a field of white.

This is highly reminiscent of the very first appearance of Kingpin in Daredevil, in which he first appeared in front of a white canvas (that proved to have devastating importance to his character).
