Russell Dauterman Tweets Dazzler-Gwen Cover
In a Tweet sent on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022, Marvelous artist Russell Dauterman released a variant cover for Venom #5, featuring Gwen Stacy cosplaying as one of my very favorite Marvel mutants: Dazzler! Feast your eyes on Dazzler-Gwen, Marvel Blog True Believers!

According to the details included in the Tweet by Dauterman, who is the artist on ongoing Marvel Comics titles like Thor and X-Men… in fact, in April 2020, with colorist Matt Wilson, he’ll be the cover artist on a new X-series, X-Men Red.

Written by Al Ewing, with interior art by Stefano Caselli and a logo by Tom Muller, this new series will feature a team that includes Dauterman’s new costume designs for Ororo, A.K.A. Storm!
This Dazzler-Gwen cover is especially exciting to me, as a huge fan of various versions of Gwen Stacy and Dazzler alike.

If you’re a devoted Marvel Blog True Believer, you’re already familiar with Dauterman’s variant covers. He recently completed a variant for Avengers Forever #1 that included my personal favorite character, the Scarlet Witch! Better yet, he even posted additional Wanda fanart on December 22nd, 2021 to mark the release of that variant cover:

In addition to the variant cover featuring Dazzler-Gwen, Dauterman replied to someone on Twitter and stated that there will be more variants featuring Stacy in various X-Costumes. This sounds like a variant series that is packed with potential, Marvel Blog True Believers…
But I just don’t know that he’ll be able to top Dazzler-Gwen! I guess sometimes the headliner just has to go on first.
