James Gunn Talks ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ and Chukwudi Iwuji’s Mysterious Role

What is one of the best franchises under the MCU umbrella is none other than the Guardians of the Galaxy series, which has been consistently some of the most entertaining films the Marvel universe has to offer.
Helmed by the creative force that is Gunn, the series follows the hilarious and ever-growing intergalactic team as it works to defend the furthest reaches of space from some of its most unusual enemies.
Creating some of the best characters in the MCU, Guardians of the Galaxy is a stalwart of the Infinity Saga and appears to be approaching its greatest moment in the highly anticipated third installment of the series.
When promoting his latest series, James Gunn talks Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Iwuji’s mysterious role in the film, making fans all the more intrigued as to what they could see next from the film.
Talking with Collider, Gunn was asked about his progress on the highly anticipated MCU film, to which he stated, “It’s going great, Chukwudi, who plays Murn in Peacemaker, is one of the main characters in the movie and people are freaking out over how good this guy is. Literally freaking out.”
Gunn continued, “I think I’m really happy. I gave a bunch of scenes to Marvel right before Christmas break. Kevin [Feige] went… They were really really really stoked. But also, its not going to be what people expect. It’s a hard road, but I’m really happy with it so far.”
Fans are immensely intrigued with the character Iwuji is slated to play in the highly anticipated third film of the franchise, with many drawing solace by the casting decisions Gunn has made for the trilogy so far.
