Marvel’s ‘Moon Knight’ Trailer Teases Hawke’s Harrow
The MCU’s newest series has been teased with its first footage Monday, and we tell you how Marvel’s Moon Knight trailer is hiding the series’ impending showdown between Moon Knight and Ethan Hawke‘s Arthur Harrow…
The long-awaited first look at Marvel’s newest series has finally arrived and given fans a taste of the exciting story of Marc Spector and Moon Knight.
Showing off Oscar Isaac in the title role, first as the sleep-deprived and mightily distraught Steven Grant (cockney accent and all). As the trailer continued, we saw the initial struggle surrounding Marc Spector’s Dissociative Identity Disorder.
The trailer gave fans their first look at the incredible Moon Knight suit, Spector’s transformation into such, and the antagonist of the series, the enigmatic Harrow.
With little information on the central conflict of the series being readily available to the viewer, a deep dive into the small details of the trailer can give us some interesting insights.
It turns out Marvel’s Moon Knight trailer is hiding the impending series showdown right before our eyes, and it’s evident in the song used to score it.
Kid Cudi‘s classic song “Day and Night” can be heard over the trailer, and it could tell the story of just who Marc Spector’s villain of the series, Harrow, can come to represent.
We’ve pontificated that Harrow will eventually become Moon Knight’s greatest nemesis, the Sun King; with “Day and Night,” we get a better look at the mythical clash that awaits the two characters.
Moon Knight is known as the fist of Khonshu, the Egyptian god of the moon that imbues the vigilante with power, mirrors the Sun King, who gets his power from the Egyptian god of the sun, Amon Ra.
Amon Ra is the father of Khonshu, and the two characters represent the mythical battle of ancient Gods that should exist as a vital part of the narrative in Moon Knight.
We can only hope that the series will bring a massive showdown between the two gods, with Isaac’s Spector and Hawke’s Harrow giving fans an incredible battle of ancient power.
