Ms. Marvel Set Photos Unveil Possible Spider-Man Connection
The highly anticipated Disney+ series Ms. Marvel is slated to premiere at some point during 2022, with reshoots for the upcoming series taking place in January.
Set photos taken from the filming revealed Ms. Marvel Kamala Khan in her “super suit” and unveiled a previously unknown connection to everyone’s favorite web-slinger!

While the first three images reveal actress Iman Vellani with the apparent homemade Captain Marvel suit that Kamala Khan will wear in the series. The fourth unsuspecting image captures something very intriguing.
In the fourth image of the reshoot pictures, set workers can be seen carrying a large drone. This drone looks to be the Stark combat drone seen in Spider-man: Far From Home. When Tony Stark bequeathed the E.D.I.T.H program to Peter Parker after his death, the drones were accessed through the EDITH program, and ultimately utilized by ‘Mysterio’ Quentin Beck to create intricate holographic projections.
The Stark Combat Drone appearing on the set of Ms. Marvel stirs up plenty of riveting possibilities. Will Mysterio be connected to this drone? Is Mysterio still alive? Mysterio’s masterful illusions fooled Peter Parker once, so while there is a great deal of certainty that Beck died at the end of Far From Home, there is always the possibility of him fooling us again.
And if Mysterio is no longer attached to these drones, then who is controlling them? The original inventor of the drones, William Ginter Riva who designed the drones, and further aided Mysterio’s master plan is still alive. There is the possibility that Riva has teamed up with another ne’er-do-well who needs his tech.
Unfortunately, whoever or whatever is behind these drones that are now set to appear in Ms. Marvel we won’t find out until the series airs sometime in 2022.
Nevertheless, the ever-present interconnectedness of the Marvel Cinematic Universe once again leaves me with a great deal of excitement and awe. The ability of Kevin’s Feige’s team of writers, producers, directors, etc to take one element from one series and utilize it in another is something that is always much appreciated.
If the previous Disney+ Marvel releases are anything to form a standard on, Ms. Marvel looks to be an excellent action-packed series!
