Ryan Reynolds Promises ‘Deadpool’ Update Very Soon!
One of Marvel’s most popular film characters is set to make his long-awaited MCU debut, and despite the uncertainty, Ryan Reynolds promises a Deadpool Update very soon!
There are few Marvel characters who have as unique a relationship with audiences as the beloved Wade Wilson has formed since his theatrical debut in 2016.
The Merc with a Mouth was a project long in development and was manifested by the persistence of the performer who gave him life, Ryan Reynolds.
Becoming a near-instant classic, Deadpool was a film that pushed the boundaries of where comic book adaptions have gone before; specifically, adaptations rooted in the Marvel Universe.
Developed by Fox, Deadpool saw the massive success that bridged two different movies, and quickly established a place for the iconic character in Fox’s massive universe of Marvel characters; even interacting with the rebooted X-Men in the characters second film.
Yet, with the Disney acquisition, many fans eagerly awaited his MCU debut, as Marvel Studios was certain to capitalize on the character’s immense success.
With the project underway at Marvel Studios and the character’s place in the MCU currently being primed, Ryan Reynolds promises a Deadpool update very soon!
In an interview with Collider on his new Netflix film, The Adams Project, Reynolds discussed the upcoming Disney-led Deadpool project, stating:
I’ll say this about that particular subject is I’ll have a batch of updates on that sooner rather than later, I hope. So I’ll be abel to get into stuff about Deadpool a little bit more clearly and definitively down the road.
It is no secret that Reynolds is an in-demand entity these days, and certainly has his hands fool; with his varying business endeavors, and the films that he seems to churn out endlessly, it is not outside of the realm of possibility to imagine a situation in which Deadpool is the project that’s next up.
We cannot wait to see what Marvel and the MCU do with their first Rated-R film and to observe just how Deadpool takes on the various entities of the Marvel universe as we know it.
