Daniel Radcliffe Responds to Those Wolverine Rumors
One of the best young actors in the world has been thrown around by fans as a potential replacement for the iconic Hugh Jackman, and in a recent interview, Daniel Radcliffe responds to those Wolverine Rumors.
With the impending arrival of the X-Men into the MCU, there has been no shortage of fan theories and speculation surrounding just who could inherit the adamantium claws, and bring one of the team’s iconic characters to life on the big screen once again.
Since the Fox acquisition, it seems to be only a matter of time before the MCU brings mutants into the fold, and with the finality of 2016s Logan, it appears as though Marvel will have to look outside of Hugh Jackman and his iconic work on the character.
Playing Wolverine since the early 2000s, Hugh Jackman had clearly established himself as one of the most beloved comic book adaptations of all time, bringing humanity to the raw physicality of Logan, and leaving massive shoes to fill for whoever takes on the role next.
A popular fan casting option has been former child star Daniel Radcliffe, who has made a name for himself outside of his Harry Potter fame in many independent films that have showcased his tremendous range as a performer.
In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Daniel Radcliffe responds to those Wolverine rumors by giving this honest opinion as to whether or not he sees the iconic mutant in his future.
“So many times people come to me like, ‘hey man, heard the Wolverine news, that pretty cool.’ No, I don’t know anything about it.” Radcliffe stated, “Like, I appreciate that somebody is clearly going like ‘Wolverines actually short in the comic books, you should get a short guy to do it!'”
Radcliffe continued, “But I don’t see myself, I don’t see them going from Hugh Jackman to me. But who knows? Prove me wrong, Marvel.”
It is clear that fans have formed an affinity for Radcliffe portraying Wolverine, but it seems as though Marvel isn’t close to announcing just who will take on the beloved character.
