James Gunn Confirms The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special Will Introduce Multiple Characters to the MCU
With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 just on the horizon, fans are eager to see the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special; a Disney+ event that will reportedly introduce multiple characters in the MCU according to James Gunn Himself.

The mastermind behind the fantastically well-received and beloved Guardians of the Galaxy franchise has become a huge influence on what the MCU has become; with his signature brand of comedy, and cosmic aesthetic seemingly etched into everything that Marvel Studios has done there forth.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 promises to be one of the most important films in the massive slate of the MCU, as many involved have assured audiences that it will be a film that brings an end to the beloved Guardians team as we know them while introducing some brand new, and vital, characters.

As fans patiently await that film, Gunn and the team has been hard at work at the titled Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which will arrive during the holiday season; and will, according to Gunn himself, introduce multiple characters in the MCU.
It was confirmed via a tweet from the brilliant director in which he stated that, “more than one great new MCU character will be introduced,” prompting much theorization from fans as to who they could be.

Knowing Gunn, and his patented brand of comedy, it stands to reason that the characters debuting in the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will be less vital. to the overarching narrative of the MCU, and more used for that fantastic comedic effect that Gunn is known for.
With that being said, what Gunn is so good at is crafting characters that so effortlessly endear themselves to fans; so time will only tell which characters premiering in the highly anticipated Guardians of the galaxy Holiday Special could stick around for the foreseeable future.
