‘Moon Knight’ Featurette Teases Upcoming ‘Werewolf By Night’
What was intended to be a fun video done by the cast of the upcoming Disney+ series may actually still have an easter egg present, as a recently released Moon Knight featurette teases the upcoming Werewolf by Night.
The MCU is about to get a lot darker, as one of Marvel’s most violent and interesting characters is set to make their live-action debut in the highly anticipated Moon Knight.
The series is set to premiere later this week and will feature the live-action debut of Oscar Isaacs Marc Spector; a former mercenary who transforms into the series’ eponymous character.
The vigilante is primed to be Marvel’s most brutal character yet, and presents a very interesting dichotomy as Spector struggles with dissociative identity disorder; something that is only complicated when the Egyptian moon god Khonshu grants him some of his power.
Spector then takes on the persona of Moon Knight, an entity committed to defending the innocent and apprehending the unjust by the will of Khonshu.
With the series officially set to debut to fans this week, the promotional campaign has been ramping up; with brand new trailers and scenes being released to gain excitement from fans for the series.
Although many of these are clearly shown to excite fans for the series, a recently released Moon Knight featurette teases the upcoming Werewolf By Night special coming to Disney+.
The featurette shows the stars of the upcoming Moon knight stuck in a waiting room, in an effort to keep them from spilling secrets as to what awaits fans.
The room itself boasts all sorts of easter eggs including a Hawkeye arrow in a dartboard, a miniature Groot figurine, and what looks like a framed Wereworld by Night comic book.
What is interesting about this comic book is that it’s Wereworld By Night #32; which is also the very first appearance of Moon Knight.
Could the issue simply be a nod to the first appearance of Moon Knight? Or could it be foreshadowing of the Werewolf by Night’s appearance in the Moon Knight series?
We cannot wait for both Moon Knight, and Michael Giacchino’s Werewolf by Night, and can only hope that the two will interact in some way in the near future; in the meantime, you can watch the featurette right here!
