Marvel Debuts Brand New Mobile Game
Following a teaser on the official Twitter account posted in the past few days, Marvel has debuted a brand new mobile game titled Marvel Snap.
There was some intrigue from Marvel fans as the official Marvel Twitter account hinted at an announcement to come in the next few days
It was an announcement that had proved to be worth it, as the company announced a brand new addition to the constantly growing mobile gaming empire of the comic book publication.
Marvel has debuted this brand new mobile game titled Marvel Snap; an RPG application that is a card-based versus game in which users take on each other with a built deck of some of their favorite Marvel heroes and Villains.
Marvel games have been one of the fastest-growing sectors of Marvel Studios and Marvel entertainment, with dominant entries like Marvel Spider-Man by Insomniac Games, and Marvels Avengers by square Enix standing as some of the most popular of all console titles.
This is rounded out by a tremendous selection of mobile games, including a MarvelBlog favorite, Contest of Champions, which is an action-packed versus format game that sees the user take control of iconic Marvel characters, and go head to head.
Jay Ong, the Executive Vice President of Marvel Entertainment commented on the reveal, stating, “We’re thrilled to collaborate with the world-class development talent at Second Dinner and the cutting-edge global publishing of Nuverse to bring this innovative game to Marvel fans and CCG players alike,”
He continued stating, “Seeing how our teams have been working together utilizing our beloved Marvel characters and their stories, we know Second Dinner and Nuverse have all the ingredients to deliver a landmark video game.”
A report from ComicBook.com states that “The card game will focus on PvP play, with matches taking about 3-minutes to complete. Gameplay involves battling for control of three unique locations, each of which has its own unique rules and effects.”
We cant wait to see what Marvel Snap has in store for us, and we fully expect it to be a fantastic addition to Marvel’s line of video games.
