‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ Trailer Debuts Thor’s Brand New Armor
Fans were given an in-depth look into everything they can expect out of Marvel’s newest epic in the latest Thor: Love and Thunder trailer, as well as their very first look at Thor’s brand new armor.
There was no shortage of anticipation for any sort of news or updates surrounding what is the Marvel Cinematic Universes’ very first and fourth solo film for any specific character.
Continuing the exploration into one of Marvel’s most beloved characters, Thor: Love and Thunder was primed to set the character up for his next phase and carry him through his next metamorphosis as a hero
Arriving at the beginning of the MCU itself, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor has had maybe the most unconventional road to becoming one of Marvel’s most beloved heroes; as he has slowly endeared himself to Marvel fans through his story, and growth.
Starting as a very unlikeable prince, Hemsworth’s Thor was reborn in the critically beloved Thor: Ragnarok; with the Taika Waititi-helmed film delivering a brand new direction for the rather stale character.
Embracing the humor and absurdity of this Space God, Waititi’s Thor is brash, funny, and charming beyond measure; and that is likely to continue in spades as he enters this next entry into his Marvel saga.
With such the promotional imagery that fans had seen prior to an official release, the latest Thor: Love and Thunder trailer gave the MCU faithful their first look at Thor’s brand new armor; and boy, is it something.
Clearly inspired by the character’s appearance in the 1980s, the brash, and loud design is incredibly different than much of what we’ve seen in the past of the character; and a far cry from the most recent iterations of his suit.
It is loud, it is bright, but perhaps most importantly, it is insanely awesome; with the evolution in suit seemingly speaking to the character’s continued attempts to figure out just who he is.
It will be interesting to see how the suit plays into his development of the film, and whether or not it plays a continuous role in the movie; with a lot of the film promotional campaign pointing to the blue and gold armor being his main look for the duration fo the film.
