‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ Poster Confirms MCU Return
With Marvel ramping up the promotional campaign for their newest adventure, the newly released Thor: Love and Thunder poster confirms one MCU return.
There is no shortage for what is slated to be a record-setting arrival for the Marvel Cinematic Universes summer slate as the highly anticipated Thor: Love and Thunder are set to be the fourth solo film for the beloved Marvel character.
The second of the Thor saga to be helmed by brilliant visionary director Taika Waititit, this next installment should follow the aesthetic and humor-driven mold of Thor: Ragnarok; the film that truly revitalized the character after his first two films vastly underperformed.
With the upcoming fourth film finally debuting a full-length trailer, fans got their first look at just what to expect, with newly debuting characters such as Christian Bales highly anticipated Gorr the God Butcher and Russel Crowe’s Zeuss.
Yet, alongside these newcomers are some confirmed returns- with characters like Korg, Valkyrie, and Jane Foster leading that group- but the newly released brand new Thor: Love and Thunder poster also confirms one very interesting MCU return.
As is typical for many Marvel posters- and classically constructed movie posters in general- the entire bottom blurb has the names of many of the actors, as well as some of the producer credits on the film.
Among the names listed under the various performers, the new poster lists Jaime Alexander, who many Marvel fans will know as Lady Sif; a character who has a rather important role as a close ally to Thor in his film saga.
A character that has had a much bigger role in the character’s first entry, Sif has seen her role diminish in recent films; with the Asgardian warrior making her return in a scene in Loki, after her character had a brief appearance in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D
There is so little known about how survived Thanos’s attack on the ship containing New Asgardians, and with her name listed, there seems to be hope that she is among the survivors; with no guarantees, considering she may just be shown in various flashbacks.
