Reported ‘Thunderbolts’ Writer Seemingly Confirms Films Development
With the film being reported on in the past few days, it appears we know that it was a rumor that was true, as the Thunderbolts writer seemingly confirms the development of the film.
Marvel Studios is known for their ability to keep the lid on so many of their developing projects, delaying the announcements for big events where they share the entire slate of films coming in the next chunk of years.
For the first time in what felt like ever, that has not been the case, as it was recently reported that Marvel was developing a film centered around the comic book collective known as the Thunderbolts.
Not only did we get news that the film was under development, but we got some rather in-depth information on some of the ikey figures who would be taking roles behind the camera, as well as the fact that various performers had been contacted bout clearing their schedule.
Although the reports seemed reputable, we now may have some insight into its validity, as the reported THunderbolts writer seemingly confirms the development of the film.
With the announcement, it was stated that Black Widow writer Eric Pearson was being tabbed to Penn the script for Thunderbolts, and with the news surfacing, Pearson took to his Instagram to post a message that is as close to a confirmation as we’re going to get at this point.
Pearson posted on his Instagram Story a screenshot of the breaking news article that was making the rounds a few days ago, with text that reads, “Guess we can finally talk about it!”
It is an incredibly exciting concept, as the Thunderbolts have long been one of Marvel’s most interesting teams; with the characters, MCU counterparts surely set to make the adaptation just as compelling.
Characters like Baron Zemo, Ghost from the Ant-Man and the Wasp franchise, and many others would make the film incredibly entertaining; and Eric Pearson’s work on Black Widow proves that he may just be the perfect person to bring git to life.
