Tessa Thompson Talks Potential Romance Between Valkyrie and Captain Marvel
The long-awaited Thor: Love and Thunder certainly had equal parts both, as fans were met with an action-packed and hilarious adventure that featured tons of Thor and tons of heart; with love in the air, Tessa Thompson recently discussed a potential romance between Valkyrie and Captain marvel.
There are few MCU characters who have established themselves as a fan-favorite quicker than Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie has after her tremendous arrival in the widely beloved Thor: Ragnarok.

Thompson is a performer with undeniable charisma and magnetism that makes audiences gravitate towards her, and her work with Valkryie brings to life a character that this interesting, and just plain cool, that has captivated audiences.
She brings more of her signature charisma to the role in this second outing, with the character now embracing her newfound role as the King of Asgard, the struggle between the warrior within her, and her acquiescence to what it’s almost a figurehead sort of position.

Something that has long been an important facet of the character is her importance to the LGBTQ+ community, as a hero whose sexuality is hinted at more in Thor: Love and Thunder, with many viewers curious if love is in store for the winged-horse riding warrior king.
More than just any generic love story, Tessa Thompson recently discussed a potential romance between Valkyrie and Captain Marvel; two of the most beloved, and strongest, female characters in the entire MCU.

Speaking with Pink Villa, Thompson stated, “I, you know, the heart wants what it wants. I don’t… I can’t speak yet to Valkyrie. She hasn’t had a ton of time to focus too squarely on her love life since she’s been besought with a lot of kingly duties.”
Thompson added, “But there are a lot of amazing men, women, other-worldly creatures inside of the MCU and certainly in the canon of characters that could enter the MCU. So, I think there’s so many fish in the sea.”

The actress concluded, “She’s single. She’s ready to mingle. And I love, both in the comics, Carol and I… Brie Larson is a good friend of mine and I love spending time with her. So, I wouldn’t be mad at it, for sure.”
It will be a point of interest- not only the character’s love life- but where Valkryie’s story goes from here, as she certainly has warranted a deeper exploration into just who she is.
