Hailee Steinfeld Reportedly Returning for Multiple MCU Projects
After what was a tremendous debut in a series that firmly established her as the heir apparent of one of the original six Avengers, it appears as though Marvel is repeated to invest in her return, as Hailee Steinfeld is reportedly returning for Multiple MCU projects.
The Emmy nominations for 2022 have recently been revealed and Marvel was fully on display among some of the best long-form storytelling projects in the modern landscape; with the MCU being well represented among them.
Series like Loki, What If…? and Moon Knight were all assumed to be a part of the event, and were all praised for their creativity, ambition, and narrative quality that made them among the very best projects that the MCU has developed on Disney+ thus far.
What was perhaps a surprising addition to this collection of projects was Hawkeye, which received its own fair share of nominations, and established itself among some of those very best projects that we mentioned.
The series followed the adventure of Clint Barton and Kate Bishop, and represented a transition of the mantle of Hawkeye, as the latter has positioned herself to become the heir apparent to the original Avenger.
It seems as though Marvel is fully prepared to dig into this transition, as Kate Bishop herself, Hailee Steinfeld is reportedly returning for multiple MCU projects.
The report comes from Variety, who- when discussing the MCU projects with Emmy nominations for this year- wrote about the spinoff series coming from Hawkeye, and Marvel’s commitment to Steinfeld’s presence in the MCUs future.
The report noted, “A Hawkeye spinoff centered around the character Echo (played by Alaqua Cox) is currently in the works. And while it has not been officially confirmed,d sources say that there are plans for Stienfled to reprise the role of Kate Bishop in other MCU projects going forward.”
From the character’s first involvement with the Marvel Universe it was clear that Steinfeld brought something tremendously engaging and unique to this character and to this franchise; making this news an incredible development for the MCU
