Taika Waititi (Kind of) Confirms Dwayne Johnson Easter Egg in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’
It is a Marvel adventure chalked full of ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ easter eggs, and one of them has to be one of the coolest ever placed in a Marvel movie, as Taika Waititi has taken to Twitter to (kind of) confirm a Dwayne Johnson Easter Egg in Thor: Love and Thunder.
There are few Marvel films that, despite their shortcomings, have been as creative and fun as Thor: Love and Thunder ended up being.
A true Marvel adventure in every sense of the word, the record-setting fourth Thor film featured a plethora of tremendous visual moments, fantastically executed action sequences, and a whole lot of laughs; and I mean there were unending laughs.
The latest Thor film was undoubtedly a Marvel comedy through and through but featured a lot of heart and exploration into the growth and evolution of one of Marvel’s most interesting characters.
One of the coolest aspects of what Taika had done in the film, however, may not have had much to do with Thor at all, as he showed once again that he is a master of the Easter Egg.
There were several moments in the film Omnipotent City that featured several small moments that only the most eagle-eyed fans could catch, but also one moment at the very end of the film that many had pondered over whether or not it was an Easter Egg at all.
It seems as though it may have been, as Taika Waititi has taken to Twitter to (kind of) confirm a Dwayne Johnson Easter Egg in Thor: Love and Thunder.
So, as you may have already noticed, we will be discussing a lot of SPOILERS here, so YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
There is a scene that shows Korg discussing the process of mating in Kronan culture, which entails two mail Kronans falling in love, and sitting amidst hot lava to give birth to a Kronan baby; he then spoke about a Kronan he had met named Dwayne.
Now this sparked a lot of rumors that Dwayne was an Easter Egg referring to none other than Dwayne Johnson; which would perfectly suit a rock alien being named after the Rock himself

When someone on Twitter brought up this fact, Waititi simply replied, “No coincidence baby” which felt like a subtle, and subversive, way for Taika to confirm what many of us were thinking.
Whether or no the moment was meant as an easter egg for Dwayne Johnson, it doesn’t change how awesome that moment was, and how badly we want Dwayne to voice Dwayne in the upcoming Thor 5.
