‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ Will Feature the Debut of Iconic Spider-Hero
There has been plenty of speculation about the highly-anticipated sequel, and despite it being pushed back an entire calendar year, were already getting some interesting updates, including that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will feature the debut of one iconic Spider-Hero.
It isn’t hyperbole to say that Sony’s animated classic Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse is one of the greatest comic book adaptations of all time; truly embodying the spirit of the greatest creation in Comic Book history.

The 2018 film brought the story of Miles Morales to the big screen for the very first time and explored his world, and the very nature of the identity that he inherits, in a beautifully creative animated feature that pushed the boundaries for the medium, and dissected the very foundation of heroism.
There have been rumblings and rumors galore about a potential sequel, and after a teaser trailer got fans on the edge of their seats to see this story continue, it was unfortunately pushed back, with updates being sparse following the delay.

Although the film is now a year away, it turns out that some of its merchandise is coming to stores- likely as some sort of error following the alteration in Sony’s release schedule- and it confirms one of the coolest bits about what fans can expect out of the sequel.
With the merchandise making its way in some stores, it turns out that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will feature the debut of one iconic Spider-Hero; one that has definitely seen an influx of popularity in recent years

That character is none other than the completely awesome Spider-Punk; an alternate reality Spider-Man who is, you guessed it, Punk-themed, fully equipped with a spiked mohawk on his mask and an electric guitar by his side.
The character come to prominence due to his inclusion in the spectacular Spider-Man video game and was then adapted to his very own comic book series that was released this year; with the upcoming animated sequel featuring him based on the release of his mask and guitar in toy form.

He will certainly be an exciting addition to the lineup, and with the Spider-Vers series of films always including a variety of different Spider-Man variants, he should be plenty of fun for fans.
