The Marvels Will Come Together in Phase 5!
An amazing amount of information was given out at this year’s SDCC from an immaculate Wakanda Forever trailer to the entire phase 5 future. The film The Marvels was among the movies announced for Phase 5!
The Marvels will see the return of Captain Marvel after over 4 years since her original film. Though in the time between she’s managed to provide tremendous support to her Avengers allies in Endgame, Carol seems to be preoccupied in space and now will return with what looks to be some new and intriguing allies.

The last time we observed Carol Danvers was in two post-credit scenes in two different Marvel projects. The first was in Shang Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings where she appears to still be in space projecting a transmission as Wong analyzes the ten rings in front of Carol and Bruce with everyone perplexed by the rings.
The second and much more recent post-credit scene was in Ms Marvel. In the scene as Kamala lays on her bed, chided by her mother to finish her homework, her bangle glows resulting in Kamala fidgeting with it and then proceeding to be warped through the closet with Captain Marvel appearing in her place!

They mystery of how Carol and Kamala switch places won’t be solved until the The Marvels debuts in phase 5. Some have speculated that it could potentially be Kamala shapeshifting, a power she has shown on a number of occasion within Marvel Comics.
In fact when Kamala first began acting as a hero in the comics she shapeshifted into Carol Danver’s Ms. Marvel and attempted to pass herself off as such. However, Kamala recognizes that she can be a hero just the way she is and gains the confidence to opt out of shapeshifting.

However, it appears that it is certainly Captain Marvel at the end of Ms. Marvel, by the incredulous look on her face alone it appears Carol is stunned at having been transported to such an unfamiliar space. What has happened to Kamala and where she may be will certainly be a big question that the new film must answer.
The Marvels isn’t only focusing on Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel though as Monica Rambeau is set to make her return to the show. After acquiring an interesting set of powers from the aftermath of Wandavision due to Wanda’s hex magic.

How will Monica Rambeau react to seeing her mother’s greatest friend alive and well? What is Kamala doing if she switched with Carol? So many questions that we are ready to have answered, we cannot wait to see The Marvels in phase 5!
