‘Madame Web’ Rumored to Feature a Young Mary Parker and Uncle Ben
There has not been a lot known about the upcoming Sony Film in their interconnected film franchise of Spider-Man characters, but we may have an insight into the fact that it is set to delve deep into the hero’s past, as Madame Web is rumored to feature a young Mary Parker and Uncle Ben.
Since the arrival of Venom, it has been clear that Sony Pictures has charged full throttle ahead in the development of their very own film universe, akin to what Marvel Studios has been able to achieve in their massively successful Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Although Venom did prove to be a successful endeavor for the studio, there was a lot of trepidation from fans as to whether using that as a benchmark to build an entire film franchise from would be a successful prospect, and to this point, it has proved to be fairly ineffective.
Venom: Let There be Carnage was a relatively successful follow-up to the original, but it made way for the arrival of Morbius; a film that boasted a lot of potential but is now more infamous for its place in the current internet culture than for what it achieved as a film.

Still, the Sony film franchise of Spider-Man characters moves forward, with two projects in the future; Kraven the Hunter, and Madame Web, the latter of which is rumored to feature a young Mary Parker and Uncle Ben.
There have been reports floating around about the previously confirmed casting of Adam Scott and Emma Roberts as playing the two little-known comic book characters, and with Dakota Johnson’s eponymous hero being directly connected to the two influential figures in Peter’s Life

For fans who aren’t aware, Mary Parker is Peters’s mother- married to Richard Parker who is his father- while Uncle Ben is the famed Marvel character that raised the young hero alongside Aunt May.
There was a comic book origin that explained Richard and Mary Parker as CIA Agents who were killed in the line of duty, an origin that made its way in The Amazing Spider-Man Films, but a story that has proven to be disliked by most fans.

It will be interesting to see if this development does come to fruition, what that will mean for Sony’s Spider-Man of this franchise, and how they can begin to construct him.
