Marvel Celebrates Latin Heros with new Variant Covers
Hispanic Latinx Heritage Month is fast approaching, and there is no better way to celebrate that than with Marvel’s commitment to raising voices in the community, as Marvel celebrates their Latin Heros, and creators, with brand new Variant Covers.
The world of Marvel comics has always been well known for more than just their massive, ever-growing, world of superheroes and super villains, battling it out within the never-ending conflict of good and evil.
But not only has this war been waged on these pages by some of the most brilliant creators that the industry has ever seen, but it has also been some of the most progressive of titles, that has always strived toward making the Marvel Universe, an inclusive one.
Heroes representing the LGBTQ+, Black, Asian, and Hispanic communities have been championed by the publication; not in a way that feels contrived, but in a way that honors the vastly colorful world that we all inhabit, and the welcomed inclusion that we should all strive for.
And with next month being Hispanic Latinx Heritage Month, Marvel has made it their biggest mission to lift up some of the industry’s greatest characters and creators from that community, as Marvel celebrates Latin heroes, in some brand new, and truly spectacular, variant covers.
This collection will feature six variant covers, with a press release revealing, “Marvel’s Voices: Comunidades, a giant-sized one-shot of uplifting and action-packed tales set throughout the Marvel Universe!”
The covers will be brought to life by the tremendous artist Leonardo Romero, as he highlights a tremendous list of some of Marvel’s greatest heroes and some of the most important representatives of Hispanic heritage as it is seen in comics.
The list of heroes includes Robbie Reyes’ Ghost Rider, Sam Alexander’s Nova, Sunspot, America Chavez, and Miles Morales’ Spider-Man; all set to have a starring role in these incredible variant covers.
Marvel fans can pick these fantastic issues up next month, as they will be available throughout September.
