Marvel Announces the Classic Avengers are Back in Upcoming ‘War Across Time’
One of the most important collectives in the history of the publication, Marvel has announced the classic Avengers are back in the upcoming War Across Time series.
Throughout the massive pantheon of characters that Marvel has crafted over the years, there are few that have had an impact on the company on par with the Avengers.
A team of various Marvel heroes, the collective has long been one of the most iconic and recognizable teams that the publication has ever developed; with developing teams being a strong suit of theirs.
There was a time when Marvel was adorned with so many characters, all struggling to support their own titles in the competitive market at the time, forcing the editors to figure out some way to make use of the heroes and villains that they knew would connect with people given the right story.
It was a struggle with characters like Iron Man, Thor, and Hulk all finding it difficult to have running series, and Marvel seeking an opportunity to partner them up to see how their dynamics would play as one group.
The result was an enormous and resounding success, as the team become immensely popular, and would eventually become one of the big three Marvel teams; outside of the beloved X-Men, and the Fantastic Four.
And now, those classic Avengers are back, as Marvel has announced the upcoming War Across Time series in which the legendary duo of Paul Levitz and alan Davis take readers back in time.
