2016s Black Panther was an MCU entry that is unforgettable, and still stands as a turning point for the expansion of the interconnected film franchise .

It was a film that brought legitimacy to a Stuido that, to that point, had been seen as a blockbuster factory with little narrative substance to its endless stream of massive theatrical releases.
Marvel fans knew this wasn’t teh case, but Black Panther made that true to the critical community, as it was- to this day- the only MCU film to be nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards.
