Finn Jones Wants to Bring Iron Fist Back to the MCU
He was certainly one of the most divisive characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he has long been an icon Marvel hero, as Finn Jones wants to bring Iron Fist back to the MCU.
Long before the days of Disney+, and the current home for Marvel’s streaming content, there was the famed collaboration between the company and the biggest streaming giant in the industry; Netflix.
This relationship between the two companies delivered some incredible results, with projects like Daredevil and Jessica Jones setting a standard at that time, and presenting a new alternative to the television format that Marvel had tried to that point.
Although it wasn’t a perfect operation, as there were several successes, but were also failures, and as time went on, it felt more and more like this venture was simply a proof of concept for what Marvel would execute on Disney+.
Still, there were some iconic characters throughout those Netflix projects, and Phase Four has seen them slowly reintegrate with the main Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk both made their arrivals, with others assuming to follow suit; yet, with those two characters being some of the most adored Marvel entities, there remains a question on some of the characters who weren’t as beloved.
Yet, the man who brought to life one of the most divisive characters wasn’t to come back, as Finn Jones has spoken of his desire to bring Iron Fist back to the MCU.
Speaking to ComicBook.com, Jones stated, “I would love to continue playing that character. I think there’s a lot of room for growth. Personally, where I would like to see the reintroduction of the character would be something like Heroes for Hire TV Series.”
Jones continues, “I think that would be the most dynamic and fun way to reintroduce those characters. I love working with Mike and I loved the on-screen chemistry between Danny and Luke. I think it’s a really interesting creative place that show can be taken in.”
Jones concluded, “I’d love to pick up that mantle again and keep moving this character forward and make the best possible Iron Fist there could be.”
