Charlie Cox Teases a Daredevil-Avengers Team Up
With Daredevil: Born Again set to debut on Disney+ next year, Charlie Cox and his Daredevil co-stars will be fully brought into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
After portraying Matt Murdock in the original Daredevil series on Netflix from 2015 through 2018, Cox reprised his role as Matt Murdock in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home and 2022’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
While it appears that Daredevil: Born Again will largely continue the original series and focus on street-level stories, the opportunity could soon present itself for Daredevil to team up with other Marvel heroes.
Cox Talks Joining the Avengers
At last weekend’s FAN EXPO Chicago, Cox was asked if there were any particular MCU actors with whom he wanted to collaborate. The actor’s answer was telling.
“I have to be so careful. Look, I can’t!; I’m not going to say, there’s so many. There’s one particular group of people that I would like to be invited to play with… [Cheers] But we’ll get into that a little bit later,” he teased.
Will Daredevil Appear in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’?
With Daredevil: Born Again set to premiere before the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, it seems likely that Daredevil will team up with the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
Putting street-level heroes like Daredevil, Punisher, and Echo into the multiversal fray could help differentiate the upcoming Avengers films from the Infinity Saga.
At this point, nothing has been confirmed. Hopefully, however, Cox will get his wish, and we will see Daredevil suit up with the Avengers soon.
