Ryan Reynolds Asks For “More Blade Please” Has He Reflects on Wesley Snipes’s Triumphant Return
Following his triumphant return in Deadpool & Wolverine, Wesley Snipes is once again riding high.
Snipes, of course, reprised his role as Blade in the film, suiting up as the Daywalker for the first time since 2004’s Blade: Trinity.

The Original Marvel Star
In the wake of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), it is easy to forget the groundbreaking success of Snipes’ Blade films. Before Tobey MacGuire suited up as Spider-Man or Robert Downey Jr. put on Iron Man’s mask, Blade was the first real live-action Marvel star.
The fact that Snipes achieved the levels of success that he did would pave the way for the Fox X-Men movies and, later, the MCU.

With Snipes proving that he still has what it takes to embody Blade in Deadpool & Wolverine, his co-star Ryan Reynolds wants to see him do it again.
“More Blade Please”
In a recent Instagram post, Reynolds shared a picture he took with Snipes on the film’s set.
“The reaction when Wesley Snipes enters the movie is the most intense thing l’ve heard in a theater,” Reynolds wrote in the caption to the post. “People screaming with uninhibited joy and love is also the sound of a legacy. More Blade, please.”

Reynolds, who co-starred with Snipes in Blade: Trinity, has been a vocal proponent of the actor’s return.
“There is no Fox Marvel Universe or MCU without Blade first creating a market. He’s Marvel Daddy,” the actor previously said.

As for what kind of film Reynolds would like to see Snipes’s Blade star in.
“***A Logan-style send off, specifically 😮,” he concluded his post.
Will Snipes Return?
While Marvel’s determination to get Mahershala Ali’s Blade reboot made almost certainly means that we will not see Snipes get a standalone film, there is the possibility that he returns.

With Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars on the horizon, the multiverse is set to come together. Perhaps then, Snipes will get his Logan moment after all.
