‘Ms. Marvel’ Fans Get a Disappointing Update on the Show’s Future
Although it has been three years since Iman Vellani burst onto the scene with her portrayal of Kamala Khan in 2022’s Ms. Marvel, the Young Avenger’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) remains unclear.
Season 1 of Ms. Marvel was undeniably a success, with the series earning high marks from critics and fans alike. Subsequently, Marvel brought Kamala Khan to the big screen, where she teamed up with Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau for an intergalactic adventure in The Marvels.
While the film was a box office disappointment, Kamala remains one of the MCU’s most popular characters.

The question, then, is whether or not we will get a Ms. Marvel Season 2.
A Disappointing Update
In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Ms. Marvel star Aramis Knight, who portrayed Red Dagger in the series, was asked about his character’s future in the MCU.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like more Ms. Marvel stories are on the way.
“I wish not, but I think so,” Knight said when asked if he was done with the MCU. “I don’t think so. I mean it’s been a long time now, so I am not really sure. I mean I would love to. I was supposed to make appearances and other things but it didn’t end up working out and some logistical stuff and COVID stuff and I think also creative stuff. But I mean that was also an amazing show, but I dunno, I’m still waiting for the call to be honest.”

While Knight’s update is disappointing, it does not necessarily mean we will not see a Ms. Marvel Season 2.

With Marvel overhauling how it makes television, shifting its focus to stories that it can serialize and continue over multiple seasons, Ms. Marvel could easily fit within the new mold.
Additionally, Marvel’s Head of Streaming, Brad Winderbaum, previously gave a promising appraisal of the series.

“I love Iman. She’s incredible. I love that character,” he said last December.
“I will tell you that she’s certainly a big part of the MCU to me. Ms. Marvel is a really important show to us, and without going into great detail, because I don’t want to spoil anything, she is top of mind. So it’s going to be exciting to see where she pops up next.”

So, while it doesn’t sound like Ms. Marvel Season 2 will debut anytime soon, fans can hold out hope.
