Marvel’s Vision Series Adds Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H.
As the cast of Marvel’s upcoming Vision series continues to come together, we are starting to get a better feel for the show’s potential direction.
When Marvel first announced that Paul Bettany’s White Vision was returning for his own streaming series, the prevailing notion was that the WandaVision spinoff would build on the events of Westview, and perhaps even lead to a reunion between Scarlet Witch and her Android beau.

Over the past several months, however, a series of casting announcements have seemed to point Vision’s journey backward, not forward.
A Collection of A.I. Characters
Last August, Marvel shocked everyone when they announced that James Spader would reprise his role as Ultron in the Vision series.

For those who don’t remember, Ultron’s artificial intelligence, overlayed with the Soul Stone and Jarvis, led to the creation of Vision in the first place.
Subsequently, we learned that T’Nia Miller will portray Jocasta, another artificial intelligence created by Ultron to be his wife.

Now, we are back with another update.
Emily Hampshire Will Portray E.D.I.T.H.
According to a report from Variety, Schitt’s Creek star Emily Hampshire will portray E.D.I.T.H. in the upcoming Vision series.
Originally introduced in Spider-Man: Far From Home, E.D.I.T.H. is an artificial intelligence created by Tony Stark and given to Peter Parker upon his death.

In Far From Home, Peter unwittingly gives Mysterio the glasses that control E.D.I.T.H. before getting them back at the end of the film. When Peter’s identity is later revealed to the world, the glasses are confiscated.
With the Vision series set to include Jarvis, Jocasta, and E.D.I.T.H., it seems clear that the show will dive headfirst into artificial intelligence, which is not only an under-explored topic in the MCU, but a timely one in the real world.

The Vision series will debut on Disney+ in 2026.
