Mike Colter Is Definitely Coming Back as Luke Cage
Hot on the heels of the news that Daredevil: Born Again had been renewed for a third season, one former Defender has seemingly all but confirmed that he will return for the Disney+ series.
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that Mike Colter is seemingly gearing up to reprise his role as Luke Cage in Daredevil: Born Again.

Earlier this month, the Netflix Marvel star appeared at Ottawa Comic-Con and shared that he would be thrilled to return.

“I’d be as happy as the fans, and that’s pretty happy. If the fans are happy, then I’m happy,” he said.
Another Defender?
With Krysten Ritter set to return as Jessica Jones in Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, and Matt Murdock publicly announcing that he needs an army, the return of Colter’s Luke Cage would make a ton of narrative sense.

Now, it sounds like Colter is essentially confirming his return.
“I Don’t Know Why People Keep Asking Me”
At the Edmonton Expo, Colter was once again asked about whether or not he would be returning as Luke Cage.

“I don’t know why people keep asking me this. There are no signs,” he quipped (via Agents of Fandom). “It’s not like they’ve just recently revived one of the Marvel Netflix shows.”
By this point, it would be infinitely more surprising if Colter does not show up in Daredevil: Born Again than if he does.
Hopefully, we will get an official announcement soon.
