New ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Teaser Confirms That Steve Rogers Will Return

In the lead-up to the release of Avengers: Doomsday, the specter of Chris Evans’s Steve Rogers has loomed large.

While it looked like Captain America’s story had come to an end with his time-traveling exploits in Avengers: Endgame, fans have continued to speculate that Evans would return for the multiversal madness of Doomsday.

Last December, it looked like fans would get their wish, with multiple reports suggesting Evans would suit up for Doomsday.

Evans Denied Any Involvement in the Film

One month later, however, Evans told Esquire that he was happily retired from Marvel.

“That’s not true, though,” Evans said. “This always happens. I mean, it happens every couple years — ever since ‘Endgame.’ I’ve just stopped responding to it. Yeah, no — happily retired!”

Later, he admitted that he felt left out.

“I mean, it’s sad to be away. It’s sad to not be back with the band, but I’m sure they’re doing something incredible, and I’m sure it’s going to be that much harder when it comes out, and you feel like you weren’t invited to the party,” he said.

Now we finally have confirmation on Steve Rogers’ status.

“Steve Rogers Will Return”

While the first Avengers: Doomsday teasers are set to be released with Avatar: Fire and Ash, the first clip has already been leaked.

In the clip, Steve Rogers rides his motorcycle home to Peggy Carter.

Later, he is seen holding their baby in his arms.

“Steve Rogers will return in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’,” the trailer finally reveals.

With Robert Downey Jr. set to return as Doctor Doom and Chris Evans now back in the fold, Marvel’s biggest stars will be suiting up for Avengers: Doomsday.

Clearly, fans have every reason to be excited.
