Ryan Coogler Reveals WHEN ‘Black Panther 3’ Will Hit Theaters
Since Denzel Washington let it slip that Marvel was developing a Black Panther 3, fans have been eagerly awaiting updates on the project.
As a quick recap, Washington revealed the existence of the third Black Panther in an interview with Australia Today.

“After that, I am playing Hannibal. After that, I’ve been talking to Steve McQueen about a film. And after that, Ryan Coogler is writing a part for me in the next ‘Black Panther.’ After that, I’m going to do the film ‘Othello,’ After that, I’m going to do King Lear. After that, I’m going to retire.”
Details Have Been Scarce
While Marvel Studios eventually confirmed that a Black Panther 3 was in fact in development, details on the film have been few and far between.

Ryan Coogler Reveals WHEN ‘Black Panther 3’ Will Hit Theaters
In a recent interview with the New York Times, Ryan Coogler revealed that Black Panther 3 will hit theaters in 2028.
When asked about the large gap between Wakanda Forever and the next Black Panther film, Coogler explained that he wanted to make Sinners first.
“It is interesting for you to ask where [Sinners] came from, nd timing it before Black Panther 3,” Coogler said.

“It was my realization that I had been on this path of what I could make and what I wanted to make. And realizing they had all been in the service of stories that were outside of myself.”
A Look Ahead
With Sinners behind him, Coogler can now focus all his attention on Black Panther 3.
