How Sadie Sink Found Out She Was Joining the MCU For ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’
While Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to bring back some of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU) biggest stars, including Peter Parker (Tom Holland), Jon Bernthal (Punisher), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), and Zendaya (MJ), the film will also introduce new characters to the franchise.
One of the new faces in Brand New Day will be Sadie Sink, whose character is being kept under wraps.

Since news broke that Sink had been cast in Spider-Man 4, speculation has run rampant about who she will play. So far, the prevailing theories include Jean Grey and Gwen Stacey.
Sink Discusses the Secrecy
During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Sink admitted that the secrecy surrounding her Spider-Man 4 role was getting to her.

“It’s torture. There’s so much speculation, too,” Sink said about her secretive Spider-Man 4 role. “I feel like there’s a new character every week. I tell people. The people I know.”
How the Actress Learned She Had Been Cast
While Sink will soon be firmly established in the MCU, she actually found out she was joining the franchise before Kevin Feige and his team ever told her.

“I found out through online theories. Before I got cast, there was speculation online that said, ‘Sadie Sink is gonna be in the new Spider-Man,’” Sink explained. “I was like, ‘I am?’ Sure enough, two days later, they asked me to do it. So, yeah. Those theories, there’s sometimes some truth to it.”
