Captain America’s Return
The teaser ended years of speculation about the status of Steve Rogers in the MCU. For his part, Evans had been adamant that he was retired and would not suit up for Doomsday.
With the Marvel multiverse set to come together, however, it is time for Captain America to suit back up.

While we have known that Steve Rogers would return for months now, how exactly the Russo Brothers plan to weave the character into the larger Doomsday story remains to be seen.

During a recent interview with Empire, the Russo Brothers explained why Steve Rogers has returned for Doomsday.

“We have a special affinity with the character. We can’t see this narrative without his central role in it, basically. The special place he holds among the ensemble, he sort of retains that moving forward.”
Based on the directors’ comments, it seems that Steve will have an important role in Avengers: Doomsday. It will be intersting to see how Marvel handles the character’s return without sidelining Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson.

Perhaps, we will finally see Evans play Nomad?
I, for one, can’t wait!
