Chris Hemsworth Says He Will Play Thor at Least a “Couple More Times”

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe rolls on through its 18th year, many of the franchise’s biggest stars are nearing the end of their superhero careers.
While Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans recently returned to the Marvel fold for Avengers: Doomsday, other stars, including Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Zoe Saldaña, and Dave Bautista, have remained retired.

Against this backdrop of uncertainty, all eyes have been on Chris Hemsworth’s Thor.
Chris Hemsworth’s MCU Future
As the only Marvel actor to star in four solo films, Hemsworth is a grizzled MCU veteran. Despite the breadth of the actor’s Thor career, he isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.

Just days after Mark Ruffalo seemingly confirmed that Hemsworth will suit up again for Avengers: Secret Wars, we have another exciting update to share.
“I Was Talking to Kevin Feige”
During a recent appearance on the Smartless podcast, Chris Hemsworth was asked about his Marvel future.

Surprisingly, the actor seemingly confirmed that he plans to continue playing Thor for the foreseeable future.
During the course of his podcast conversation, Hemsworth stated that he plans to play Thor at least a “couple more time.”

“I was talking to Kevin Feige about it, and he said it’s cool because the audience now expects dramatic turns with the character,” he said. “Whatever we do next—we’ve got some ideas to do something pretty unique again and hopefully be [different].”
While Marvel has yet to officially announce that Thor 5 is in development, all signs point to another solo adventure for the beloved Asgardian.
