Ayelet Zurer Discusses Her MCU Future After THAT Shocking ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Episode
WARNING: Daredevil Born Again spoilers are ahead.
Daredevil: Born Again delivered one of its biggest twists yet in the latest episode, when Vanessa Fisk died in her hospital bed.
As a quick recap, Vanessa was fatally injured while attending her husband’s charity boxing match, which was secretly a trap to lure Bullseye out into the open.

Although Wilson Fisk initially urged his wife to skip the event and head to Albany, Vanessa ultimately chose to stay and support him.
Standing beside Wilson in the ring, Vanessa was struck by shrapnel when Bullseye hurled a glass statuette of New York City at Kingpin.

While Fisk managed to deflect the object with his championship belt, a shard of glass struck Vanessa in the head.
Vanessa’s Shocking Death
Season 2, Episode 5 focused on the aftermath of the attack. At first, it appeared that Vanessa might survive her injuries.
Ultimately, however, she succumbed to them.

The episode ended with a devastated Wilson Fisk, left alone with his grief and anger.
While Vanessa Fisk is now officially dead in the MCU, her story may not be over.
Will Ayelet Zurer Return?
In the comics, Kingpin becomes obsessed with finding ways to revive his deceased wife. Additionally, as seen with Foggy Nelson, the Born Again team is not afraid to revisit earlier moments in the timeline.

During a recent interview with ComicBook, Ayelet Zurer expressed hope that she has not played Vanessa for the final time.
“I hope so. I love her. I like working with these people. I like Vincent. I think there is so much more to do,” she said.
“If it’s something great, which I’m sure if they decide it will be useful to them, they will create something great and I’ll be there, for sure.”

While Zurer is clearly open to returning, she acknowledged that any future appearance will depend on the story’s direction.
‘Yeah, there was a bit of a discussion about that, but I don’t know how they are going to build it up. It needs to work as a whole, in terms of story.”
