Tom Holland Calls ‘Brand New Day’ the “Most Emotional” Spider-Man Yet
Marvel Studios took over CinemaCon last night, sharing a first look at the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The fourth installment in the MCU’s Spider-Man franchise, Brand New Day follows Peter Parker as he sets out on his own after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which caused even his closest friends to forget who he was.

“Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced,” the film’s logline reads.
Holland Promises an Emotional Adventure
While the biggest news coming out of CinemaCon was the preview footage, the event also gave Tom Holland the opportunity to tease the film.

Appearing as a hologram, Holland introduced the footage shown to the audience.
“Peter had to make a sacrifice to make all his friends forget who he is,” he said. “Here, you’ll see some of the consequences of that choice.”

According to Holland, the upcoming film will be “the most emotional Spider-Man we’ve ever made — and the most grown-up.”
Praise For ‘Brand New Day’
Ahead of Holland’s introduction, Tom Rothman, chairman of Sony Pictures, praised both Brand New Day and Holland’s performance in the film.

“It’s as big as anything we’ve ever made, and yet it feels like nothing we’ve ever made,” Rothman said. “And it has Tom Holland — and I can say this because I’ve seen the movie — in his finest performance.”
