LOKI 104: Shipping MISS MINUTES!
In the first episode of Loki on Disney+, viewers were introduced to plenty of things, including Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson), the Time Variance Authority (or TVA), and of course, the adorable animated mascot, Miss Minutes!
While Marvel Blog True Believers who are enrolled in Loki Academy will already be familiar with this adorable TVA avatar, played by voice acting legend Tara Strong, there’s more to learn about this enigmatic mascot, at least according to showrunner Kate Herron (and for some reason, I trust her).

Thanks to a Tweet by Sam Summers, Associate Lecturer in Animation at Middlesex University, Loki showrunner Kate Herron had a chance to shout-out the studio behind the animation: Titmouse, Inc.! And that got my wheels turning…

One True Pairing
Titmouse, Inc. is the studio behind lots of awesome animated shows, including The Venture Brothers and Kirby Buckets. They’ve also done partially-animated shows, like Son of Zorn for 20th Century Fox Television.
The animation house is also behind other notable Marvel animated series like Marvel Heroes, as well as one of my all-time favorite Marvel shorts, Spider-Ham: Caught in a Ham.
Titmouse is also doing the visual development on the new animated series Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, according to an interview with Yann de Preval in Kidscreen.
Badgey + Miss Minutes
They were also behind the video game sequences in the Community episode “Digital Estate Planning.”
However, the relevant project for the purposes of this lecture is Star Trek: Lower Decks.
In the episode “Terminal Provocations,” Lower Decks viewers were introduced to a new character: Badgey (Jack McBrayer). This adorable holographic training program was designed by Ensign Samanthan Rutherford (voiced by Eugene Cordero, who plays Casey of the TVA on Loki)… but when the safety protocols are disabled, Badgey attempts to murder his creator!
In spite of his bloodthirsty nature (this isn’t the only time he attempts murder), I think that Badgey and Miss Minutes would make an adorable couple. Sure, Badgey is less user-friendly than Miss Minutes, but opposites attract, even in the TVA!
There is one hang-up: if Badgey is a hologram and Miss Minutes is 2-D animation, maybe they are just from different worlds. Here’s hoping the TVA has the holographic tech to make this dream couple work!
