Behold the LEGO Avengers Advent Calendar!
It may come as something of a surprise to you, Marvel Blog True Believers, but the holiday season is just around the corner! With cooler weather fast approaching, now is the ideal time to begin considering an Advent calendar. And for the Marvel fan in your life, nothing could be more suitable for your Yuletide countdown than the recently announced LEGO Avengers Advent Calendar!
LEGO Avengers Advent Calendar (76196)
The LEGO Avengers Advent Calendar helps you countdown the days until Christmas with a daily mini build or mini-figure. Each of them features a familiar Marvel character or object, but with a special seasonal twist!

For example, one of the builds is Dum-E, the robot arm that was first introduced way back in the original Iron Man movie. However, to make him more appropriate for the holiday season, he is decking the halls: there’s a seasonal stocking in his robotic grip!
There are also inanimate objects like Hulk’s X-Mas stocking (hint: it’s big & green), a tiny version of Avengers Tower, and even mini-fig-sized Infinity Gauntlet.

In addition to mini builds like Dum-E, there are also seasonal Marvel mini-figs. These include Tony Stark in an ugly holiday sweater, and a build of Thanos getting a lump of coal in his stocking. That’s what you get for killing half the universe, Thanos!
And there is my personal favorite Marvel figure, which is Spider-Man holding a classic Disneyland churro!

The set includes 298 pieces separated into 24 individual build boxes, so you can open one a day beginning on December 1st in anticipation of the holiday. And the box looks like Avengers Tower (when its been decorated for Christmas), so you’ll have a place to display your growing collection over the course of the month.

Holidays Coming Soon!
The LEGO Avengers Advent Calendar will be available soon, and of course, there are plenty of other exciting Marvel builds available for the main event on December 25th! And hey: the next round of LEGO mini-figure blind-bags would be amazing for stocking stuffers!
