Look out, Stephen Strange: a new challenger approaches! In a post made to the official Marvel website on Friday, August 6th, 2021, the villains for the upcoming Death of Doctor Strange crossover event were unveiled: the Three Mothers!
The Three Mothers
This villainous team was revealed through art by Lee Garbett that featured the trio of unsettling characters.
The ‘Three Mothers’ trio will feature predominantly in the third issue of the series by Jed MacKay and Garbett, which will explore the repercussions of the death of the Sorcerer Supreme. What will happen to Earth once its fiercest magical protector has been laid to rest?

The Three Mothers are an exceptionally well-balanced crew, with their ranks including an alien mage-princess, a warrior-queen, and a sentient mass of acid-mouthed worms… Look, I don’t throw the phrase “perfectly balanced team” around a lot, Marvel Blog True Believers, but the Sinister 6 better watch their backs!

In addition to the unveiling of the Three Mothers, the article on the official Marvel website also mentioned two additional tie-in issues for the Death of Doctor Strange event.
