Then, on the following day, Tuesday, August 10th, 2021, an informational article was posted on the official Marvel website, providing more information about the upcoming release.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes was originally released for PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and other platforms in 2013. Four years ago, in 2017, the head of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment stated that it was the studio’s best-selling LEGO video game titles to date.
The story of the game sees Doctor Doom and Loki teaming up to wreak havoc across the Marvel Universe. Along the way, players get to step into the LEGO boots of plenty of Marvel Universe characters.
Better yet, the Switch release will include all of the content from both sets of downloadable content released for the game, so you will be able to play as characters from the Super Pack (like Dark Phoenix and Symbiote Spider-Man) as well as those included in the Asgard pack (like Beta Ray Bill and Lady Sif).
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2
This classic game has never before been released on Nintendo Switch, although its sequel, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, has been available on the system since 2017.
Devoted Marvel Blog True Believers will be un-surprised to hear that the sequel comes highly recommended: not only have we mentioned the outstanding incarnation of J. Jonah Jameson who appears in this game, but there’s a whole series of levels devoted to one of the best characters ever to appear in a Marvel Comic, Gwenpool!
This game featured a story that had Kang the Conqueror as the ultimate villain, which may be of interest to some of our readers after the events of the first season of Marvel Studios’ Loki. And if you’re looking for something to play while you wait for the re-release of the first game in October… this would be a great way to spend your time!
