MORRIS UPDATE: The Dee Bradley Baker Connection
Attention Marvel Blog True Believers! We’ve been tracking a certain mystery for a few months here at Marvel Blog: the mystery of Morris! Who is this enigmatic creature, and what is his role in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings? Well, we still don’t have all the answers, but thanks to Taimur Dar over at Comics Beat, we have another piece of the puzzle: the voice actor who plays Morris is none other than Dee Bradley Baker!
By strange coincidence, @deebradleybaker is voicing two different furry animal sidekicks in two different comic movies within two months #TheSuicideSquad #ShangChi pic.twitter.com/kGet9IO02S

Morris Mystery Machine
We still don’t know the exact nature of this mythological creature, which has six legs and four wings, but no face! We previously noticed Morris alongside the Katy action figure, but we weren’t sure exactly what he was.

Well, we still don’t know exactly what he was, but we know will be giving him voice: Baker, a legendary voice actor (who you’ve heard plenty of, Marvel Blog True Believers)!
Baker’s Dozen
We don’t have enough space to list all of Baker’s voice over accomplishments: believe me when I say he’s prolific!
But you recently heard him lending his voice to Sebastian, the best rodent friend of Ratcatcher 2 (Daniela Melchior), in The Suicide Squad, directed by James Gunn.

Soon, he will also be appearing in Star Trek: Prodigy as Murf, a liquid-type alien with some very singular sound effects!

And if you’re wondering where you may have heard him before, it could be his roles on Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, or perhaps as one of the clones on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: The Bad Batch, both available for streaming now on Disney+.

Morris’s Mystery Solved
We’ll know all there is to know about Morris when Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings arrives in theaters on September 3rd, 2021 (or when it arrives for streaming on Disney+ 45 days later, if you’re immunocompromised, like me).
