SPECULATION: Is Venom in Spider-Man: No Way Home?
In a tweet posted by an unofficial Spider-Man Brasil Twitter account (@SpiderManBRA) on Thursday, September 16th, 2021, two images of Venom star Tom Hardy wearing what appears to be the production cap for Spider-Man 3: No Way Home were sent to the internet. In response, we just have to ask: is Hardy’s version of Venom going to appear in the third Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man movie?

Production Gifts
If you aren’t aware, it’s common practice for the cast and crew who work on a particular movie to all be given “production gifts,” or specially-branded limited edition swag, upon the completion of the project.

One recent example comes from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The upcoming sequel featured a production gift that was especially appropriate for a Marvel movie: a comic book! The special cover featured images of Doctor Strange, Wong, America, and the Scarlet Witch.

But this begs the question: if Hardy is wearing a Spider-Man 3 production hat, does that mean he worked on the movie? Can we expect to see his version of Venom when the movie arrives in December?
Not the First Spider-Man 3 with Venom
If Hardy’s Venom does appear in the third Spider-Man movie, it will be the second time a Spidey threequel featured the salivating symbiote.

In 2007’s Spider-Man 3, starring Tobey Maguire as the wall-crawler, Venom was one of three enemies who appeared (along with Sandman and Harry Osborne as the second Green Goblin). In that movie, the role of Eddie Brock was played by Topher Grace.
