Topher Grace Confirms* SPIDER-MAN 3 Appearance
In a tweet sent on Monday, September 20th, 2021, the Culture Crave Twitter account shared a reddit post in which Topher Grace seemingly “confirmed” that he would be reprising the role of Eddie Brock in the forthcoming Tom Holland-led Spider-Man: No Way Home.

But Twitter user @Justin_is_Gross noted in response, “If you didn’t read this with Eric Foreman’s sarcasm in your head I don’t know what to tell you.” It does seem pretty obvious that Grace’s trademark dry sense of humor is being employed in this answer… but then again, I’m not hearing a “no,” are you, Marvel Blog True Believers? And last time that happened, Andrew Garfield appeared in some leaked trailer footage.
Raimi Days, Raimi Nights
Grace’s incarnation of Brock first became the host for the Venom symbiote in 2007’s Spider-Man 3, in the wake of Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) rejecting it after he realized that it might be having a slight effect on his behavior.
We already know that Alfred Molina, who played Doc Ock in the second Sam Raimi directed Spider-Man movie, will be returning for No Way Home, so the return of another character from that trilogy hardly seems impossible at this point.
Furthermore, in a parallel to Grace’s response, that may not be the only Venom on the way, as Tom Hardy has been seen wearing a Spidey production hat.
Hardy plays the role of Eddie Brock in the currently ongoing Venom movie series from Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, the next entry of which will be released in theaters on October 1st, 2021.
Venomverse
Will we be seeing either (or both) versions of Brock in December when Spider-Man: No Way Home is released in theaters? Is there a crossover-related reason Sony is so intent on ensuring that Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage comes out as soon as possible?
We’re waiting to hear your thoughts, Marvel Blog True Believers! Give us a shout-out in the comment section.
